Customer Reviews for Burt's Barbershop

Arvin Tirk — 5/5 (via Google)

I liked this barbershop. I went there for the first time and the barber took a lot of time focusing on cutting my hair. We had fun chit-chat and I was happy with the end result. I would go there again. Very affordable than compare to the 35-40$ salons around.

I used to get incredibly nervous before haircuts -- with my hair there was a 50% chance I'd walk out looking like Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber. With Burt, I can rest easy. He's clearly very experienced at what he does and gives great cuts, plus he's an all-around affable guy. Prices are reasonable too.

Jay Eisenberg — 5/5 (via Google)

My mum told me to trim my beard because I looked like a homeless person, so I decided to visit Burt's Barbershop. The atmosphere there is fantastic. Burt and the other patrons kept me entertained with amusing conversations while I waited. I left looking like a male model—practically ready to star in "Zoolander." Included is a photo of me working on Blue Steel. Go see Burt for a great trim and a good laugh!

Burt's is the barbershop you want to go to because it checks all the boxes. First and foremost, he's really good at cutting all kinds of hair. It helps if you know what you want, or at least have some photos you've found online of styles you want to try. Burt has something in the range of 20 years of experience at the time of this review, so he knows what he's doing and he aims to be the best in town. (spoiler alert: he is) Second, he's got an online reservation system on his website where you can make an appointment for when you'd like to come in. None of the nonsense of showing up and waiting forever (although some people do come in and wait) or having no availability. There looks like some older reviews about wait times, but I've never had to wait for more than 5-10 minutes when I have an appointment. Third, his shop is FUN. Burt's a great conversationalist, and he'll chop it up about just about anything you want to talk about. There are a lot of jokes, so go in with a sense of humor and you'll have a great time. Last but not least, prices. His prices are more than reasonable for what his shop and he provides. While other shops are charging twice as much, you'll get a good value cut that's high quality, and enjoy every minute of being there.

Stuart McGregor — 5/5 (via Google)

I’ve been trying to get in to see Burt for a while now and it hasn’t worked out because, candidly, I can’t be bothered waiting and his shop is always busy. In the interim I’ve tried a couple of the other, higher profile, places in town and have been disappointed by both the level of customer service and the mindset of the staff (I won’t comment on quality because I ain’t a barber). I finally got in to see Burt today and was impressed. He did a great job. I’m very happy with the result he produced and will be going back. Customer service and mindset was fantastic. In terms of the overall experience, I felt like I was going to an old school barber shop where a bunch of old dudes sat around and talked about life. It was pretty cool. The conversation seemed quite organic and comfortable. If you’re looking for a great cut at a fair price and are comfortable participating in a free flowing conversation then Burt’s is the place for you.
